The Israelis are currently preoccupied with negotiating a possible coalition government and the Palestinians consumed by political calamity, the likely hood of these Middle Eastern countries posing as a current international threat is very unlikely. What we are currently faced with is the building and stockpiling weapons of mass destruction in violation of international obligations and harboring and cooperating with terrorists, all of which Iran is linked with and Hussein is blamed for. The United States has dealt with Irans efforts in becoming nuclear in a very peaceful manner in the hopes of increased cooperation, but unfortunately this tactic has failed. The pressures of Europe, Russia and the US on Iran have yet to persuade them to reassure the world of their nuclear intentions.
